"Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" is a upcoming superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Doctor Strange. It is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and is the sequel to the 2016 film "Doctor Strange." The film is directed by Sam Raimi and stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, the Sorcerer Supreme, who must protect the Marvel universe from threats that come from other dimensions. "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" is scheduled to be released on March 25, 2022. The film will follow Doctor Strange as he grapples with the aftermath of the events of "Avengers: Endgame" and the destruction of the Time Stone.
